There are dead beat dad's alright,but there are a few dead beat moms out there too. Alot of times,neither parent takes care of the kids and that is when the grandparents have to step up and take in their grandkids. These children are raised better,it seems...but that's just my opinion.

There are a lot more than a few dead beat moms out there, sad to say.

You wanna see something weird. I'm in the navy so sometimes i'm around marines. A few marines I know got married wife and house right. Then make a kid then a year later explains that he is gay. Then wants to drop his old life to the curb. That amazed me. People really should think of people before they do things.

In extreme cases, the children should be taken away. Parents on drugs should be locked in jail and throw away the key.

And low and behold they get trained and now support themselves because they learned they have to.... If ya want a village to do this lets take half th epay check of all those in favor and let them support the freeloaders. Im tired of supporting them.

I agree. Here is a thought for welfare reform. There should never be weeds or trash along the roadways, towns and cities. Vacant lot and houses yards will be cut and trash cleaned up. In the winter no sidewalk should be not shoveled. How this would work is if you have kids to take care of have some of the people run a day care and the rest are put to work for their check and food stamps. If you are disabled you should be getting SSI, if not then something needs evaluated. Oh! if you never paid into social security you don't get it.

That idea was used by FDR in the 30's after the stock market crash. Called CCC. All able bodied men could work for the government building stuff in our national parks. He was accused of being a socialist.

I am not a fan of FDR he was a Progressive. I don't believe it's the Governments business to create or make jobs for people. Welfare is a Government hand out and I believe it needs to be reformed. It should only be temporary.
