For someone under 35, 5 years is a record! Over 35, people get used to their poison and stay with it. Only a very few stay together for years with real happiness. You and your BF are both fortunate.

Yes they were all good years, we only had one fight in the 21 years and that was on our wedding night. we almost got a divorce 2 hours after we were married.
Only reason we split up is because she was over weight all her life. Then she went from 310 down to 140 and it went to her head cause guys started flirting with her for the first time in her life. It went to her head so she wanted out of the marriage to run around and see other guys

We can all do very stupid things but that was a truly serious move on her part. Self image is the key to happiness, and if she is looking for it from someone else, her life is doomed. You know all this, though, so I apologize for preaching. I can only wonder how long it will be before her new guy awakens.

Although my business/legal activites have made me a good arguer and a quicker thinker, I believe that you are absolutely right. Veenie certainly didn't change her mind one bit and other ladies have agreed too. Wonder how women have that gift and we don't? Gloria Allred, very famous attorney, is hell on wheels. She does NOT lose. Others run away from her in court, if they've been around for awhile.

I hope that I am honored to see that day come to pass, Captain. She has a quiick mind with unwavering focus and commitment, ingredients to success. If she's going to be a defense attorney, though, she'll soon realize that a large number of her clients deserve conviction, and that will bother her morals deeply, I'm afraid. I've suggested that she consider working with young children cause there are no young guilty kids, only victims. We shall see. :-)
