I am single with a seven year old little girl. I work a lot and I get my little girl every weekend. As much as I would like to meet someone, I refuse to give up any of the precious little time I have with her. The women I have met (and I realize I haven't met you all) want my undivided attention. Am I wrong or are they, and is there such a thing as a happy-medium?

Women without kids often have a hard time understanding how having a child impacts your life. There are women out there who do understand, but you have to dig to find them. You should not have to compromise your time with your child for a woman you're dating.

Well, I hope You're right because if I were to have to make a choice between my relationship with my daughter and one with a mate, the former would surely be my choice. I would rather be single than let her down.

I'm a single dad of three... I gave up with the dating until they were in their teens.. I didn't want women coming in their lives and leaving them the way their mother did... once they reached 13.. I felt like they could understand.. In some ways it worked.. in some ways it didn't... Good Luck... my advice... Do what is right for your kid.... This is only a decision YOU can make.

I highly recommend not letting them meet your daughter, unless it became serious. You don't want to confuse her with all of that.

A thing about women. They are all attention hogs, and very jelous creatures If you cant give her your undivided attention, she is going to get pissed off and leave you.

*Most* women. I've dated guys with kids and it never bothered me. I've been ditched for the kid, without getting pissy.

i am a singal mom and i am very careful who comes around my child,and i to put myself on hole till he was older and now he's 12yr. and he wants me to find someone but as he says he have to be good to me...or they'll deal with him...lol..he's a funny boy...
