UGH!! I want a little girl so bad. Cute little dresses and bows, AWWWW!! =) LOL. For a long time I've been wanting a little boy; because I've heard they mind well. But I really don't care. My little girl is going to be named Alexis Grace. I absolutely love and adore that name. I was 3 months pregnant, I recently lost the baby! But I have my hopes for another one. My future baby daddy is going to Iraq In November, It would be kind of hard to bring a baby into thie world right now. I want to be stable, I want to be able to take care of child. God only knows I want depend on a man for shit. I aint having that thrown in my face. No! No! No! LOL. I mean I highly respect a man; when he offers to work and tells me not too. But thats not how I want to live my life, ya know? I want to be independent and not a dependent. Anyways y'allllll w/b!!

Much love<3

I guess the question you should be asking yourself is "am I patient enough to want to carry my future baby daddy's kid and try to raise it until he returns or do I want to look for someone else who can be there 24/7 for me and my baby??"

Before considering having a baby, be sure your done doing all the things you wanna do. Dont have a baby hoping its going to solve things or be a cute little doll that you can show off. Babys change your life. Yes sometimes for the better but sometimes for the worse. When you have a child its a lifetime commitment. Dont expect to have a life of your own anymore, its all about the child. You have to be ready for a screaming, crying, pooping, puking little snot factory. They are a LOT of work and a HUGE expense. In the end yes its all worth it, but just be sure you know what your getting into and be sure the father is going to be around to help. Good luck and I hope everything works out for you. Having children is one of lifes greatest joys and can be one of lifes biggest challenges too.

Please dont think I was preaching . I was your age when I had my first daughter. I just learned the Hard way what is like.

She pee's in the floor, she doesn't like going to the big girls potty! She is so use to peeing in her pull up!!! She gets into every single thing her little tiny hands can reach!!!! UGH. I would say girls are worse then boys... FOR SURE!! lol.

Toddlers are toddlers it doesn't matter the gender. If they can reach it they're gonna play with it.

Trust me, I've helped bring up one of each.

Oh and my 22 month old niece went peepee on the potty last week.

I'm so proud!

Kids are absolutely awesome! They are however A LOT of work and even more responsibility. Before one even considers bringing a child into this world they have to be super jacked up and have the emotional and financial means to honour that child and its needs every step of the way, with absolutely no compromises at all! Parents have to love that child unconditionally and give it a warm, loving stable home with TWO loving parents in the mix! Overall, the parents need to set a very good example at all times......A HUGE RESPONSIBILITY!!!!!!!! Children are so very precious and only deserve the very best in life - if one cannot give that, or is not ready to give that.......then you should wait until you are.....:)

Well she's only done it the one time. She understands that she's supposed to pee in the potty, but the whole concept of it isn't making all that much sense to her yet.

She gets really upset when she has a dirty diaper though so I think she'll pick it up really fast.

She's a smart cookie my baby girl!

boys are very different from girls. I agree toddlers are toddlers when it comes to getting into things but girls are much easier to potty train than boys. Boys however have a developmental reason for it...they do not have the muscle control fully developed as early as girls do for controling when they urinate. Thats why boys tend to take longer to potty train than girls. All kids will potty train when they are developmentally ready and the parents are there to encourage them (not pressure and insist and force it...that makes bed wetters)...just the nature of things. :D

My best friend's niece has an almost 5 yr old son who's not potty trained. It's all because the kid isn't being encouraged to use the potty.

I think that is absolutely ridiculous.

I think Kara is not ready to be potty trained. She has no INTEREST at all in going to the potty!!! My mom gets aggravated with her. She will be 3 in November. =D

That's not too bad though, she's still a baby. She'll do it when she's ready.

But an almost 5 yr old? Come on!

ya but i think it is wrong of society to push kids before they are ready.

I also agree tho that parents shouldnt be upset with kids that makes it worse. But they need to encourage them consistantly and find a way to make it a positive experience for the child...so that they are proud of being older and doing more grown up things.

Being around other children a little older than them helps alot of kids train faster, because they want to "be like them"...and do the things they are doing.

I dont know whats going on in my brain lately. But I've been wanting a baby too. Something I've never felt before. It was like an ache in my heart. lol It feels like Im missing something. I live with a roommate and her little girl. Ive watched her grow up. Shes only 16 monthes old and I love her so much that I thought it would be enough. But its only made me think about it more. I keep having dreams that I have a child and i feel so attached that when I get to that point when i realize im dreaming, it really upsets me that its not real and i have to wake up... its fucking sad you guys lol Maybe Im just getting older and having a baby makes sense to me. Im not ready by any means. But ugh! Its really sad to think about sometimes. Considering the fact that im single and all. lol

Do you guys think that it has anything to do with the admiration you receive from a child and that you are the centre of their universe and rely on you for EVERYTHING and love you unconditionally....(until they grow up...LOL!) Could it perhaps have something to do with feeding a need of being accepted and validated? I knew someone who had a baby thinking it was a fashion accessory and said that she would be the centre of attention and it would love her no matter what.....which was the biggest joke I had ever heard in my life! Children are human beings with feelings, needs and souls of their own, whom require a hands on parent who can support them emotionally and financially and give them the best running start in life - if a person cannot provide that, they should either use protection or keep their legs closed, as children are more than fulfilment of a narcissistic urge and a cute doll that will make your hips look cuter........CHILDREN = RESPONSIBILITY! Just a thought.

I want a baby too, but you don't see me going ga-ga goo-goo over it. LOL. Seriously, at some point as we grow older, it becomes a natural tendency for us to want to have a child that we can call our own. I'd like to have a mini-me running around and learning all about the stock market with me. :-P

When you start feeling like you REALLY want a baby, think of the tantrums and the screeching, and the lack of sleep.

That'll change your mind right quick.
