I look at a lot of profiles.. and it seems like most men are looking for attractive petite women.. Well not all of those men are actually MR.Universe... Some are bald.. fat... and ugly.. but they still think they can attract beautiful women... well for some maybe.. if they have money..

OMG Didi ... you have described me perfectly! Bald, fat and ugly. I know what you mean though. Too bad society as a whole has to be influenced by tv commercials as to what a "beautiful woman", or a "perfect guy" is. Personally, I know that external beauty fades over time while internal beauty just keeps on getting more and more beautiful if one's heart is in the right place, and that has nothing to do with money.

It will be interesting to see what comments are made.

i understand what didi is saying though. as a big woman, i am very insecure about meeting men. i try to make it very plain to them before we ever meet as this fragile ego can only take so much rejection. then to top it off, i am also no longer young and i smoke. may as well take me out and shout me. :(

I guess women look for the same in a man. I don't expect a perfect body just as a man shouldn't expect me to look like a model but, I do expect to see someone who takes care of himself. I have met some characters on the web who smell and dress awful. I've been ashamed to go out in public with them.
There are also times I have been really stressed because I am going to meet a good looking man and I don't feel like I always measure up to expectations. It is never easy. I have been single for 15 years. I am probably in love with someone I will never meet in person but, I have accepted that. Sometimes I would rather never meet than meet and have him disappear because I didn't measure up to expectations. I'm tired of wondering what is wrong with me, tired of telling my life to strangers who are passing through. It is better to dream than to experience the nightmare. Who knows maybe someday that special person will walk into my life. I can see all of us have had our share of rejection. We are supposed to learn from rejection but somehow I end up thinking; "Who in the hell wants me?" I think it is a female thing. Most males can move on but, we experience the self-degrading thing.

Speaking for myself, I'm in the FBI. That's Fat, Bald, and Ignorant! Well, 2 out of 3, and the 3rd one is making serious inroads!

I admit there has to be some attraction in a relationship, but men who have to have "perfect" women generally arent worth the time it takes to figure out that they are loosers. A man who posts that he wants a woman who makes him laugh or has some intelligence, those are the ones worth getting to know better. I know am farrrr from perfect, and not really attractive in the clasical sense, But I am not vomit inducing either! Im ok with me .. its taken me a while to get to that point , But now that im here I like it!
