Men post in forums...if one man will address another regarding a forum post chances are they will look at the profile...maybe to make sure they are not talking to scammer or someone in dire need of medication.

Women look at women's profiles...if you engage someone in a forum (unless they came on to you publicly) then technically you're simply figuring out who you are dealing with.
