After being upfront about some things on more than one website and I wonder, have I said too much? For instance:

1) In an open marriage.
2) Looking for no strings attached relationship.

Please tell me what you think.

if these are your circumstances, i think it is the only honorable way to go about it. most on dating sites are looking for relationships and to allow them to think otherwise would be very hurtful.

Thanks. I feel exactly the same. Guess I'll keep looking on the same terms.

to your #1 and 2 statements .... yes ... best to be up front ...
but .... as to the original .. header question ...

yes ... you can be too honest ... it can kill you if you are honest in the wrong situation.
that is why humans have geneticly been programed to lie.

latest studies show we all lie ... from an early age we learn to lie in situations that telling the truth are disadvantageous.
We shake the big lies for sake of morality but the little lies ... never stop.

we even lie to ourselves about the lies.

don't sweat the small things ... but do take into account other's feelings.
[actually that is a big part of our lying ... we lie not to hurt others feelings]

you look fabulous... and are a great cook.

the truth is relative and changes over time
[depends what generality you are considering as truth]

i'm hungry ... truth
I eat ... now its not true.

[that is just a simple example but you should be able to understand the reality of it]

The truth is a constant. The only thing that can contradict the truth is a lie.

I'm hungry... truth
I eat... another truth.

I went over to a friends house... truth.
I came home... another truth.

Just because I came home, doesn't change the fact that it was true that I was over at a friends house.

But lets not confuse Honesty and Discretion. Posting that you are in an open marriage and looking for no strings attached relationship here on Webdate may result in a lot of negative remarks and emails. Whereas posting the same thing on Webdate's sister site, Fling, it would be completely appropriate. Still being honest but practicing discretion.
