Right now, I'm out of town too much, but when I'm home 2-Wheeling, ATV riding, 4x4 wheeling, fishing, target shooting, varmint shooting, gardening, landscaping, hanging out with the dogs, and like camo, peeing on stuff. They have to stay in their kennel out back and are tended to by a neighbor when I leave. They may be mad at me for leaving so often, because they only pee on MY stuff. :-)It's the only game the dogs are any good at...except Gracie, who's learning to FRISBEE. My males think the toy is SUPPOSED to hit them in the face...so that they can then pounce and destroy. :-)

Right now, I'm also doing a lot of chain-sawing of the pines and firs that fell during the winter, some debris burning, and warm weather means cleaning the vehicles.

My house is a little weird right now, as it's my first spring since my wife's passing. So I'm doing more and trying to spend more time outside when I'm home.

I wonder if you can keep stray dogs away from your house by peeing on stuff in your yard. Hmmmm.

I used to shoot competitive benchrest and am gonna get back into it this year with maybe some tactical or F class as well.

I just loaded a couple of 25/06 rounds with 85 grain combined tech bullets and 57 grains of 7828 to check pressures. My gun was made by Ted Gaillard and will shoot anything accurately. I find you have to pretty well fill the case on a 25-06 to get them to shoot well.

Our target of choice right now is the lowly gopher (richardsons ground squirrel) and they are out of top of the snow. Nice because there will be not richochets shooting into wet snow.

Normally I would shoot my .243 cause it has a better scope on it for gophers (old K12 with a half minute dot) but I do not have the bolt for that gun here, it is in storage about 5 hours away. I bought a Timney trigger for it over the winter and that should smarten it right up, more adjustable than the factory trigger. It is a mid 80's Sako and it will shoot pretty much 3/4 minute with 85 grainers. Does not seem to like the lighter bullets though.

Bought a Mossberg Model 88 .12Gauge today as another varmints weapon. A .12G is kinda overkill but it'll double as home protection. I still have an old Remington .20Gauge turkey gun. Used to using Winchester .243 and Savage .223 rifles for critters, but my aim is slipping.

Chino, I'm just an ole Southern boy. Mama wouldn't change my diaper until I could break-down, clean, re-assemble, and adjust the sights on the .22 I got when I was 1...(lol)

We do not get to carry any restricted weapon here in Canada other than under very defined circumstances. After all anyone who carries a handgun must not be trusted and is up to no good.

We are in the thros of a federal election and one of the key issues is our long gun registry, a totally ineffective and hugely expensive piece of legislation perpetrated upon us by an uninformed urban majority.

You have the right to keep and bear arms entrenched in your constitutional amendments for a reason. Never back down one bit from the fight to protect that right or you could end up like us.

I had a friend who used to drive round and round the parking lot at the bar so that he would not have to walk as far. Most of the time we would end up walking home and leaving the car behind, making sure that amongst our group we have one car left by Sunday, which was our day to retrieve the others.
