Would you go to another state to meet someone for sex or to get in a relationship with them?

Nope. I found the love of my life right here in Canada.

If I know that the young lady feels the same way about me as I do about her, then why wouldn't you take that chance?? Sure, you will have to "set up shop" (i.e.: get an apartment, job) once you get there but you can't find one specific answer for love. It just has to be there to make something out of in the long run.

I'd leave the state to meet someone for the first time. But never with the intention to have sex.

You must have money. I couldn't afford to do that right now. I would like to. If I was able to though, I'd probably be married. I met a girl online, but neither of us had the money to travel so that we could meet each other. We were very romantically involved...

How were you romantically involved if you never met her face to face?

We dated online through chatting. We showed each other a lot of pictures of each other. We flirted everytime we ran into each other. To make a long story short: If we met right now, there would be no date, just a bed with 2 horny grown-ups getting down to business. Yes, I guess you could call it long distance love or something to that effect.

There's nothing wrong with that at all. Dating is dating. Why does it matter if it's in person or not? I would get some if I could. It's pretty much over between us right now because we both have our own lives, but I promised her that if I ever got the money that we'd hook up. She's 11 years older than me, but extremely good looking for her age and if we were together, I'd love her to death.

It matters because you can't love someone you've never met. Except as a friend.

Why not? Why does it matter if you've met them or not if the feelings are there?

Because you can't know if the feelings are really there until you meet them in person and actually spend time with them. You're just in love with the idea of them.

I don't mean to sound dense, but what's wrong with that? Okay, so I'm in love with the idea of being with someone that I love online vs. being in love with someone I've met in person. Sorry, I just see no difference. I mean, if you love someone, you love 'em regardless if they're there or not. Or isn't that what you meant?

You can't know if you love someone until you've met them, spent time with them, know and can understand/tolerate their mannerisms. It' s just not possible. Until you meet it's just a fantasy.

That may be true with some people, but I don't think it applies to everyone. Another factor that would determine that is how picky I am. If I like the way she looks, I'm not picky at all. She could belch, fart, pick her nose in front of people and I'd still love her. Seriously, I really am that way. Is this so wrong?

Being with someone just for their looks is very wrong. You don't love them at all. It's just infatuation.

I guess I'm not capable of love then. It's just the way I am. I see nothing wrong with it. Why does there have to be love in the first place if 2 people "like" each other that much? What's wrong with that?

Nothing wrong with it if that's what you both want. But you can't be telling women you want a long term relationship then have it just be sex and nothing else.

I don't do that. I look for both, but sex is so important to me that it would be the sole factor that would determine whether the relationship would be long term or not. Why have a relationship in the first place if you have nothing to offer to each other? It just doesn't make any sense.
