Was in about four over the yrs. longest one was about 4hrs but most were about two to three hrs away only one ended because of the distance..... the rest just cause we grew apart.... and if things keep going the way they are i will soon be dating another wonderful women in jacksonville.....so yes it can work... maybe not for every one... and if it should work out we both agree what ever is best thats the one that will move, no matter what.. motheres fathers. daughters, sons........lol

We met in the Denver area. She was a librarian and I was a contractor brought in to help computerize the book catalog. We dated some, hand holding concert in the park stuff. Several months after I returned to Michigan she invited me to a Wisconsin family wedding. At the reception we danced slow waltzes and exchanged warm kiss. The kisses got hotter and the dances a contact sport. Three days later I her put on a train heading west while I took another train east. Later yet the relationship died with a dear john letter. Yes a letter - the internet and cell phones were still in design stage back then.

I was only 25 at the time. What did I know about life, love and such? And Now, well I make it a point of NEVER second guessing my past. Living in the past is not good idea for someone who remembers everything - you can get fixated picking apart prior events. I mean you ask you can spend hours playing out the what if's of even one single moment in time.

I have tried long distance dating before and have had no success. It seems like every time it starts off well, trying to make time to see each other. Then after awhile I feel like I continue to put in the effort and it is no reciprocated. I must be honest I am very leery about entering into another long distance relationship.

Long distance relationships are pointless. For a relationship to work, there has to actually be a relationship. Physically, not just emotionally. I just don't think long distance relationships are real.

you need time physically together to truly know someone. they could be sitting there on computer talking to you and belching and farting the whole time... or picking their nose!! seriously though, you can't tell if a person has a temper or is lazy or even worse an abuser. it is easy to say all the sweet things and send cyber flowers etc but not always so easy in real life. in my online search, i found out pretty quickly it is no fun to ache to be with someone and know they are hundreds of miles away. think long and hard before getting involved in a long distance relationship.

Nighthowl50, again you speak the truth. For 17 months now I have had a Yahoo chat relationship with a beautiful lady who is 13,600 miles away, and it has been very very difficult for both of us. Mistrust has been evident, on and off, and the lack of a planned meeting date hurts too. Still, we remain commmitted to see how it can be made to work for the long haul.

I moved from Californis to Texas to Marry a Man I had met in California, he moved to Texas, he asked me to Marry him, so I moved to Texas, this is why Im still here in Texas, but two months into our so called Marriage he was into heavy duty porn, and dating sites, fling finders, I was so shocked, I guess I didn't really know him intill we were living together. I asked him to stop, but he wouldn't I left him, he claims to want me back, Im so done with his lying cheating self. I have lost all respect and trust for him. So Im hoping to move back to California soon.
