No , thats stupid ! That would insinuate distrust and why even consider marriage with someone whom can't be trusted?

Yeah but these days you almost need one. Seems like people just get married to screw each other over nowadays.

I don't care either way because I have nothing to lose.

Having a prenup is like buying insurance ... when you buy insurance you're betting you will die soon ... when you agree to a prenup you're betting the marriage will fold.

Nope then she has to kill you to get your money...see what TV teaches you? No seriously it just does not appeal to me, if I love you and I marry you then that is no way to start out IMHO.

Pre nups are for windbags and wussies who don't trust and love each other unconditionally. That's how most divorces in the good ol' USA occur. No pre nups for me, thank you very much.

If I had money, PRENUP all the way!!! But since I dont have money...I really dont know if I would...I would still concider it because its basically its garunteeing anything you guys came into the relationship with you will leave with and anything aquired would be split and with how the women usually takes the man through hell and back and rapes him for everything hes worth, a prenup isnt such a bad idea....

Another example of how MOST women are, that give ALL women a bad name! My ex and I owned a house, land, and 2 vehicles.Even though we built our home from the ground up ourselves,(this is everything from getting the trees cut,to dry wall,to flooring, cabinets, plumbing, and painting....EVERYTHING)
I divorced him and all I got was one vehicle.

I wouldn't even say "most" women. It's some women.

I am really contemplating this question now, great question. I think it would depend on the person i was with. If it was some one of my age I would think more the lines of yes because we would both be a young couple then. On the other hand if it was an older woman i would consider it only because my parents just broke up after 30 years so that tells me even the most solid relationships break up and that maybe i would like to have one as back up. But if i knew for sure that it would be a lasting relationship for ever then i would not consider it at all and have no worries.

I cant help but feel having a prenup is like saying "yea i love you, sure I trust you but since your prob gonna screw me over and take my money sign this". Do you really trust that person then, obviously not and what does that say about the REAL status of the relationship? Just my opinion, I am wrong plenty

If you have equal assets going in its not really necessary. Personally I would not feel insulted. People have money property etc, and especially on a second or third marriage, the prenup is a must.

Divorce rate is 50% and while love is grand, ya gotta be realistic in this me me me culture.

Also, if first marriage, and both have no or equal assests. Pre-nup should read that upon divorce, "all assets divided equal 50/50.

I would, and its not because I dont trust them. They can have everything I got but I have a small piece of the family farm that has been passed down and has a lot of history to me.

big IF ... but a pre nup is just making the contract personal when an open marriage contract is government legislated and very contestable so ... very expensive if a seperation happens. the pre nup is a lot cheaper and can be a show of trust ... not distrust in anything except the government.

Separation and divorce are expensive regardless.

If one partner has significantly more assets than the other it's probably not a bad idea to have a pre-nup. There are often children to protect and business relationships as well. A good friend of mine got married after his fiance refused to sign a pre-nup. One year later he was out of 400,000 dollars and out of the family corporation. The woman he married was an evil bitch and just a damned golddigger.
