Im currently 23 years old, im 5"10 and weigh 165 pounds, male BTW. Ive never really been overweight, just little out of shape, but about 6 months ago I changed all that. I started eating healthy and working out. Im in great shape now, eat very healthy, count calories, weight lift every other day, cardio 3 times a week. Anyway, when I started this lifestyle, I lost about 20 pounds, like fast. So fast, in fact, I got quite a few stretch marks. I have them on my butt, hips, front of my thieghs, upper arms, biceps, and the front and back of my shoulders. They have faded to skin color now, but are still visible, and have a different texture from the rest of my skin. I worked hard to get where I am now, but I've never been so depressed. Im a good looking guy (from what ive been told from people) and I dont disagree, but I just feel like they would change their minds if they saw me with my shirt off. Are these scars a big turn off to women?

Congratulations for taking the step in better health for you. Personally I don't think it as a turn off. Stretch marks is part of life. But now it gives you hindsight as to how many women feel when they end up with stretch marks from being pregnant. The main thing is that you need to be comfortable in your own skin. If a female that you should come across should have issues with your stretch marks then she is not for you.

You got stretch marks from losing weight? I'm confused, if you're shrinking in size, how did your skin get stretched?

The stretch marks are from the weight he had beforehand.

He said he lost weight fast. So fast he got stretch marks, which isn't how stretch marks happen.

Right, he obviously had them before he lost the weight and just didn't word it properly.

sweetie the reality is that the very same women that u are concerned about judging u for ur streatch marks have streatch marks themselves. almost all women do, big or small. and many men do too. they will fade more over time, and by the tender age of 30, which is gonna happen faster than u think,those stretch marks will probably be almost completely faded. i had stretch marks on my hips as a teen that are hardly noticeable now. i also have a couple on the legs that are much lighter than they used to be-so they get better but not perfect. but then no one is perfect.

my best advice to you as guy is to, over time, hit the gym and put on some muscle mass- thats gonna A)re-fill any skin that may be kinda looser from ur weight loss, B)kinda "justify" them (thats the best way i could think to say it, i know its not great)in that i, as a woman, kinda expect to see muscular men have stretch marks in many of the areas u described. its from getting bigger with sexii muscle. (but dont go crazy and get too big-like body builder, yuk!)and finally c)with nice muscles and such the girls wont even really notice those stretch marks in the first place.
