I was working a service call about two weeks ago for a lady that was about 20 years my senior. I was fixing her phone lines when she was telling me how she had no one to help her and she wished Jesus would take her home for Christmas. I felt bad for her so I invited her to the 'rents house for our family christmas. I took her number and called her a few days later and she started going on and on about how she used to have money and her ex was a cheating abusive man who tried to poison her. Now I am not much for playing Doctor Phil, but I was like okay I will hear her out. She went on about how her helper stole tons of money from her. I asked her if she would like to have Christmas with my family she said no. So yesterday I was working and she calls me. She says I now know who you are and your mom is married to my ex. Don't let him know that you now know because he will cut you off or worse, he may try to kill you. She said her ex and her were divorced for ten years. My mom and dad have been together for 35. My dad has never had to leave the house for more than a couple days. Good lord you just can't do anything good for people these days.

Forgive me. As I began reading your story, I was waiting for you to lend new definition to the term "tip and ring" but you played it straight. LMAO. So, you meant well and it was not what you imagined. Not the first time, I hope. My experience is that 1 out of 3 helps results in a solid gain. The rest are not, for various reasons. Let go and keep trying.

Negative ghost rider, I was am not going to get into the "tip and ring" thing. Thanks though. Just creepy. Poor lady is in misery and I can't do anything to help. She is obviously delusional. She needs professional help. I have issues of my own, so I think it is best to step back and let the pro's help her.

She needs professional help. I have issues of my own, so I think it is best to step back and let the pro's help her. Never forget that most professionals have their own issues, which is why they pursue the repair of others, rather than themselves. Human nature at work again. Still, your point is a good one. As Clint Eastwood said to Lt. Briggs as Dirty Harry, "It's a wise man who knows his limitations." And, as Stan Dale, a Bay Area psychologist said, "Never sleep with anyone who has more problems than you do." AND, he said that while hustling my girl friend, the bastard. LMAO.

34 + 20 = 54 So probably too far away from worth hog tying in the basement and stealing what little SS check She may not even be in line for. Do a follow up Customer Service call leave her extra phone cords and teach her some simple boating knots. Leave her gas stove on when you leave in case she doesn't realize what to do with the extra phone lines and infomercial for Shrimp Boat Captain's Balloon Knot boat knots. Since you have judged her as delusional, and your Company is OK with you "inviting" customers to Family Functions... Maybe they would be OK with you testing some add-on sales for Dr. Death not Dr. Phil... The New Assisted Suicide DOCTOR. Ask yourself, does the phrase Youth in Asia sound like a word you could be proud of helping support. Could your phone line service calls mask your true calling?

Rough Staci, just purely rough. Youth in Asia is something worth supporting since they are in Asia and young, but Euthanasia is not.

Really this was a touching post, I grew tears, however I was slicing a Vadalia, mushrooms & roasted sweet red peppers for topping my two & a half inch rare filet. I just don't have a soul. I support all types of population control programs designed to save tax payers money, that aren't always lady like to talk or joke about. For example, since I have joined this site I feel confident in saying countless "could have been unwanted baby swimmers" have been flushed down toilets, laid to rest in tissues, or sprayed down bathroom sinks. Euthanasia is very much alive right here verse having to go back to Ho Chi Men City.

I've noticed a pattern... IF a topic becomes moronic, Staci saves the day with cutting the issue down to size. If someone is posting gibberish she has the where with all to slap them. I find her logic a refreshing change to the overall accepted attitude on here and in the country. Nothing wrong with being confident.

my step granddaughter just went to get groceries with her two small children (4 yrs and 2 months). her hubby is on ship right now. she forgot her ID and bank card. she had $152 worth of groceries rung up before she found that out. this wonderful woman behind her paid for her groceries. of course, granddaughter got her name, address, phone etc so she could pay her back. I thought this was a wonderful gesture from this stranger.
