Since all corn today is genetically modified (GMO) and eats up a person's guts, you're not missing anything. I need to start eating home-made nutritious soups cause simmered saves the good stuff for me and commercial soups are all bad - corn starch, sugar, hydrologized crap, fructose. No wonder everyone is fat and on the verge of being diabetic. Enjoy your soup!

Actually, GM or GMO foods have been eaten by the general public for many years without one single case of ill effects.

I am by no means an expert, and in truth, I knew nothing about GMO's until I read your post and researched the subject. Corn is not the only genetically modified food. There are many, (even proteins, yet these have not hit the market yet) and you have no idea if you ever eaten them because the FDA does not require farmers to tell you!!

Really? Southern weather and northern are different, so yeah it wouldn't be the same kind of cold. But as I say, it doesn't get cold here often and to us 45 is really freaking cold to us. And I know it gets colder there, and I'm sure I would be just as cold/colder there too.
